what is mental health first aid?
Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, or who is experiencing a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves. Mental health first aid strategies are taught in evidence-based training programs authored by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and conducted by accredited instructors across Australia. Meeting Minds Trainers are accredited to provide both Youth Mental Health First Aid training for adults with young people in their lives, teen Mental Health First Aid training for young people, Mental Health First Aid for the Suicidal Person and Mental Health First Aid for Tertiary Students.
